Jut was a former Dutch Mennonite family, found from the 17th century at [[Amsterdam (Noord-Holland, Netherlands)|Amsterdam]], where some of the members were deacons of the [[Zonists|Zonist]] congregation. An important member of this family was Pieter Nicolaas Jut van Breukelerwaard (Amsterdam 1786-Laag Soeren 1874), at first a stock dealer at Amsterdam.
