The Milwaukee Mennonite Church in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, USA began in 2006 as a small group meeting in homes. The group included about 20 people, most of them children. The adults were white and youngish (25-40 years old). Several members were educators, some were graduate students, several worked at home, and others in engineering, information technology, and medicine.
The congregation has always rented space and has no paid staff. It has met on Sunday afternoons.
