Stijntgen van Aken, an [[Anabaptism|Anabaptist]] martyr, was drowned at the Steen Castle at [[Antwerp (Belgium)|Antwerp]], Belgium, on 12 December 1558, after she had been severely tortured some days before. Stijntgen, whose official name was Stijntgen de Hont (or Honts), was a native of Antwerp. She died valiantly as did the three other women martyrs who were executed at the same time.
