Living Hope Church held its charter service on 11 March 2001 with 51 members. It began as a church plant of West Portal Church. The congregation was accepted into the Saskatchewan Conference of Mennonite Brethren Churches the following weekend and held its first service in its own building on 18 March 2001. Dwayne Harms served as pastor from 2001 until his death in 2005.
The congregation rented a facility formerly owned by the Silverwood Baptist Church for five years before purchasing it in 2006. The congregation met on Sunday early in the evening until 2011, when it began meeting on Sunday morning.
