Nyamazana Dube, churchman, was one of the earliest converts and outschool teachers in the African Brethren in Christ Church. He also was one of the first three African members to be chosen overseer (1921). He was baptized by Bishop Henry Steigerwald in 1902 and in 1905 he began to serve as an outstation worker, teaching in a village a few miles from the Brethren in Christ Matopo center. In 1916 Dube worked with Manhlenhle Kukmalo in starting the church and school at Swazi. A few years later he was appointed overseer for the Mtshabezi District. In 1921 he married Siyanagi (Naka Danyeli) Nzima; after her death he married Jessie Ndhlovu from Mtshabezi. On 23 July 1944 he was ordained to the ministry of the African Brethren in Christ Church, and served faithfully until his death in 1957.
