With Michiel Comans he published a booklet in which he attacked the Flemish elder of Rotterdam, Bastiaen van Weenighem. Gerrit Jansz Veerom, who was a Collegiant, died at Amsterdam in 1680.

Gerrit Jansz Veerom was the son of Jan Gerritse Veerom of Rotterdam, Netherlands, who was a preacher of the Flemish Mennonite congrega­tion in Rotterdam from 1641 until his death in 1652. Gerrit was a preacher of the same Flemish Mennonite church in Rotterdam from 1653 to 1655, but in 1655, having more liberal convictions than his con­gregation, he joined the Rotterdam Waterlander congregation. Shortly after he moved to Amster­dam and became a preacher of the Waterlander (Toren) congregation there, and after the merger with the Lamist church he served the united congregation until 1671, in which year he was cen­sured for frequenting taverns. With Michiel Comans he published a booklet in which he attacked the Flemish elder of Rotterdam, Bastiaan van Weenigem. Gerrit Jansz Veerom, who was a Collegiant, died at Amsterdam in 1680.
