Mulier (des Mulier, Mullier), a French-speaking Mennonite family, to which belonged Jan de Mulier, who in 1614 was a preacher of the Walloon (French-speaking) Waterlander congregation at Leiden, Holland. Bartholomeus Mulier, from Waarschoot, East Flanders, Belgium, settled as a farmer about 1626 at De Biezen near Aardenburg, Dutch Zeeland Flanders. Pierson des Muliers was probably also a member of this family. In 1547 is found an Anna Muliers in Amsterdam, who was imprisoned because of sympathy with the Anabaptists, but escaped from prison.
