Elsge(n) of Wesel, an Anabaptist martyr, was drowned at Alkmaar, Dutch province of North Holland, on 17 June 1539, together with two other women, for having been rebaptized. Particulars are lacking. Mellink supposes her to have been a follower of David Joris.
