Seemann, Isaac, the descendant of a Flemish Mennonite family, a good portrait painter, several of whose works were reproduced in copper etchings. He was a preacher (Vermahner) of the Elbing-Ellerwald Mennonite congregation in West Prussia, moved to Danzig in 1683, went to London about 1700, and died there in 1730 at the age of ninety. His son Enoch Seemann, Sr. was also an able painter.
