Dominicus, an Anabaptist martyr, was burned at the stake with two preachers, Thomas and Balthasar, in Brno, Czech Republic, in 1528. When they were about to be sentenced they warned the council against shedding innocent blood. One of the councilmen replied that he was doing a service to God in condemning them to death.
