Friedrich Ingolt was an Anabaptist of Strasbourg who participated in the disputation with Hans Denck (22 December 1526) and stated that he felt justified in not leaving Hans Denck, and in loving him sincerely. The name Ingold is still found among South German and American Mennonites.
