Ludwig Spon, of Ershausen, district of Erfurt, was one of the most zealous and successful of the Anabaptist leaders in Thuringia, Germany, and won many converts for the Anabaptist movement. He was seized in May 1533 and released from prison in November at the request of Philip of Hesse. Nothing more is known of him.
