Raegh-besem, seer bequaem om sommige Mennonitische Schuren te reynigen van de onnutte spinnewebben, sotte grollen en ijdelheden eeniger Geest-drijveren (Dustmop to Clean Some Mennonite Barns of Noxious Cobwebs, Dull Notions and Vain Ideas of some Rattle-brained [i.e., spiritualistic] Fanatics) (Amsterdam, 1625) is a book written by Nittert Obbesz. It was published without the knowledge of Obbesz by Jan Theunisz, one of his followers, under the pseudonym of Nicodemus Letterknecht van Wt-gheest, appearing during a conflict in the Mennonite Waterlander congregation of Amsterdam, Holland, in which Obbesz was a preacher, when Obbesz accused his co-preachers Reynier Wybrands (Wybma), Cornelis Claesz (Anslo), and Pieter Andriesz (Hesseling) of neglecting the Scriptures (verminderingh vant beschreven Woordt Godts) in favor of the inward working of the Holy Spirit. Not only the preachers of the Amsterdam congregation but particularly Hans de Ries, the leader of the Waterlander group, was attacked in the book because of his spiritualism.
