In 1986 the Spencer Mennonite Church was forced to relocate when its building was purchased by the State of Wisconsin for a highway improvement project. The congregation bought property on County Road P near Stratford, Wisconsin. The first service in the new building was held in August 1986.
In the mid-1990s the congregation began a weekly Bible study in the Federal Correctional Institution in Oxford, Wisconsin. The church also has a small parochial elementary school that is held in the church building.
The congregation has been part of the Midwest Mennonite Fellowship since the 1980s.
In 2014 the church had 48 members and was a member of the Midwest Mennonite Fellowship. The ministerial team included Bishop Ray Hoover, Ministers Scott Hoover and Matt Stoltzfus, and Deacon Luke Stoltzfus.
