The Restigouche Valley congregation began services and formally organized in 1984. The church's charter service was held on 2 December 1984. The first building was occupied in 1988. Bob and Janice Buhr are considered the founding leaders of the group. The congregation originated through outreach by the Canadian Conference of Mennonite Brethren Churches and individuals. Siegfried Wall served as the congregation's first paid pastor from 1985 to 1996. Joel Gagnon served as pastor from 2003 to 2014.
Due to declining membership and finances, the congregation closed on 31 March 2014.
In 1985 there were 11 members; in 1995, 18; in 2000, 30.
