Barbara of Thiers, an Anabaptist martyr, wife of Hans Portzen, was put to death at Fill in the Adige (Tyrol), 16 November 1529 with Georg Frick and three other brethren and three sisters of her faith. She confessed her faith staunchly, mentioning that she had been baptized by Benedikt von Bruneck, a former people's priest.
