Derk Alles, born 8 March 1639 at Meeden, Holland, and died at Groningen, 12 May 1711, was from 1666 to 1679 a preacher and from 1679 to 1711 an elder of the Groningen Old Flemish Mennonites in the Netherlands. According to his own records he held 307 baptismal services ("opneming gedaan") and baptized a total of 1,832 persons on his journeys. In 1699 he ordained his son Alle Derks to the ministry, who took the place of elder after his father's death.
