Pieter<strong> </strong>Klomp was born about 1760 and died 19 August 1832 at [[Groningen (Groningen, Netherlands)|Groningen]]. He studied at the [[Amsterdam Mennonite Theological Seminary (Kweekschool)|Mennonite Seminary at Amsterdam]] and became one of the outstanding ministers among the Dutch Mennonites of his time.
