Jan Jansz van Calckeren, a native of Calcar, territory of Cleve, Germany, an Anabaptist martyr, was beheaded on 12 March 1535 at Utrecht in the Netherlands. He was a barber and surgeon and belonged to the revolutionary wing of Anabaptism.
