Jakob Peter Hildebrand: minister and elder; born 3 September 1795 on Insel Chortitza, Chortitza Mennonite Settlement, South Russia, the son of Peter Hildebrand and Helena (Hoeppner) Hildebrand. Jakob married Katharina Friesen (16 March 1806, Kronsweide, Chortitza, South Russia - 23 August 1860, Insel Chortitza, Chortitza, South Russia) on 16 August 1823 on Insel Chortitza, Chortitza, South Russia. Together they had 11 children, of which nine lived to adulthood. Jakob died on 5 October 1867 on Insel Chortitza, where he was buried.
