My name is Sam Steiner. I retired at the end of 2008 as the Librarian & Archivist at Conrad Grebel University College in Waterloo, Ontario, Canada.I am an Editor of the Global Anabaptist Mennonite Encyclopedia Online and have been associated with this project since 1996.

I've written three books related to Ontario Mennonite history: Vicarious pioneer: the life of Jacob Y. Shantz (1988); Lead us on: a history of Rockway Mennonite Collegiate, 1945-1995 (1995); and In Search of Promised Lands: a religious history of Mennonites in Ontario (2015).

I am a member at Rockway Mennonite Church in Kitchener, Ontario, Canada. I'm widowed from Sue Clemmer Steiner, a former Mennonite minister.
