The Faith Mennonite Church in Goshen, Indiana, USA began in October 1986 as the result of a small group at Assembly Mennonite Church developing a vision for local community outreach. The group originally met monthly and then biweekly in the Assembly Mennonite Church's building on Sunday afternoons for worship and a fellowship meal.

In 1990 the original group formally chartered as the Faith Mennonite Church. Initially, it was a member of both the Indiana-Michigan Mennonite Conference of the Mennonite Church (MC) and the Central District Conference of the General Conference Mennonite Church.

In 2005 the congregation purchased Faith House to provide space for meetings and church activities and to host short-term guests who were housing challenged. In 2016 it purchased an adjacent house to also help with transitional housing and gave it the name Hope House.

In 2022 the congregation was part of the Central District Conference of Mennonite Church USA; it dropped its affiliation with the Indiana-Michigan Mennonite Conference in 2015.
