The Maranatha Family Christian Fellowship began as a church plant of the Lancaster Mennonite Conference in 1990. Rick Frantz, the founding pastor, began meeting with nine or 10 persons his basement. For several years the group met at the Hearthside Restaurant, and then at the El Shaddai Assembly of God church and the Bushkill Elementary School. Since October 1994 the group as met at its current facility.
