In the early 2010s, the Calton Conservative Mennonite Church near Aylmer, Ontario, Canada began to consider an outreach to Low-German speaking people in the Langton, Ontario area. A few families from that area joined the Calton congregation.
In 2013 the Calton congregation began holding services one Sunday per month in the Langton Community Centre. In 2015 it decided to move forward with a colonization outreach in the area. Fifteen families and several single members were chosen to relocate to the new congregation; Jake Z. Wall and Peter Bergen were chosen from the Calton ordained leadership to lead the outreach.
The new group decided to find an existing building. Services began 19 June 2016. The congregation ultimately obtained the former United Church building in Lynedoch, a small community northeast of Langton.
In 2018 the congregation had 44 members. The ministerial team included Minister Jake Z. Wall, and Deacon Peter Bergen. Worship services were held in English.
