Grace Community Church developed out of the Mount Salem EMC (later called Mount Salem Community Church) in Aylmer, Ontario with Randy and Gloria Fehr giving leadership to the group. Later the group met at the Royal Canadian Legion Hall, and formally organized as a church, and were received into the Evangelical Mennonite Conference in 2007.
When Grace Community Church grew in numbers, it relocated to rental space at Creekside Community Church, requiring a shift in its Sunday worship service time. When numbers declined, Grace returned to its former location at the Legion Hall.
Randy Fehr, a seminary graduate, was a bivocational minister who sought to serve the marginalized and the people in the mainstream of society. Using rental space, rather than constructing its own building, reflected one of the the congregation’s values.
In 2017 Grace Community Church had a membership of 30, an average service attendance of 80, and an average Sunday School attendance of 25.
