Pieter de Meulenaer (Peter the Miller), an Anabaptist martyr, burned at the stake (van Braght's Martyrs' Mirror says erroneously beheaded) at Antwerp, Belgium, on 22 May 1557. His official name was Pieter van Beke; he was a miller and a weaver, a native of Petegem, near Deinze, Flanders. His name is found in the hymn "Aenhoort Godt, hemelsche vader" (Hear, O God, heavenly Father), No.16 of the Lietboecxken.
