Hans de Bakker (official name Jehan Jan Gielis, alias Hans de Backe), an Anabaptist martyr of Jumay, Belgium, was secretly drowned in a tub in the Steen prison at Antwerp, Belgium, on 20 January 1560. His name is found in the song, "Aenhoort Godt, hemelsche Vader" (Hear, O God, heavenly Father), No. 16 in the Liedtboecxken van den Offer des Heeren.
