Palmken Palmen, an Anabaptist martyr of Born, in the Millen area of the duchy of Jülich, Germany, was burned at the stake in an open field between Sittard and Limbricht, in the present Dutch province of Limburg (then Jülich). He suffered martyrdom with song. In 1535 a Palm who was an Anabaptist was found in Maastricht; shortly before 1550 a Palmen in the district of Born, who may be identical with the martyr Palmken Palmen, was baptized by Elder Theunis van Hastenrath, who also baptized Petergen Palmen and his wife. In the 17th century a Mennonite Palmen family was found in Amsterdam.
