Obbes Sybout (Sybrant), an Anabaptist martyr, beheaded on 21 October 1536, at Leeuwarden in Friesland, Netherlands. He was baptized in the winter of 1534. When seized because of heresy he recanted, but soon he "again adhered to the sect of the Anabaptists." Caught again, he was sentenced to death.
