Kasai was a district in the Belgian Congo (now [[Congo, Democratic Republic of|Democratic Republic of Congo]]), which was the location of the Mennonite Brethren Kasai district mission field. The area covered by the mission in 1957 had approximately 35 villages with an estimated 12,000 population.
