Zoetermeer, a village in the Dutch province of South Holland, in the 17th century the seat of a [[Flemish Mennonites|Flemish]] Mennonite congregation, usually called Zoetermeer and Zegwaard. Concerning its history very little is known. It was always subsidized by Rotterdam and other Mennonite congregations. About 1695 Jan van Gaveren was its preacher, but its pulpit was mostly vacant.
