Anna Cantiana, an Anabaptist martyr, was burned at the stake in 1550 in London. The Martyrs Mirror relates that she, like Johan Knel, who was executed the same year, held Menno Simons' view on the incarnation (that Christ did not receive his human body from Mary). For this information van Braght refers to the preface of the Oude Offerboek of 1615.
