Peter van Norg (Noerich, also Orck; official name, Gerdt Eike(l)man) was a leading revolutionary agitator in the Netherlands and adjoining parts of Germany, being a follower of Jan van Batenburg. Originally he lived at Deventer, Holland. By trade he was a glazier. He can hardly be listed among the Anabaptists, for after 1536 he was nothing but an ordinary bandit. He was burned at the stake on 30 April 1544, at Münster, Westphalia.
