Pieter de Meulenaer (Peter the Miller), an Ana­baptist martyr, burned at the stake (van Braght's Martyrs' Mirror says erroneously beheaded) at Ant­werp, Belgium, on 22 May 1557. His official name was Pieter van Beke; he was a miller and a weaver, a native of Petegem, near Deinze, Flanders. His name is found in the hymn "Aenhoort Godt, hemelsche vader" (Hear, O God, heavenly Father), No.16 of the Lietboecxken.
