He defended the doctrine of the Trinity against Johannes Stinstra and published De vier Uytersten des Menschen (Groningen, 1741); 't Geslagte Lam of de Lijdende en verzoenende Hogepriester (Groningen, 1741); Korte Schets van verscheiden waarheden des Christendoms (Groningen, 1743); Schriftuurlyke Katechismus, waarin de Grondlere der Doopsgezinden in 't Gemeen, dog der sogenoemde oude Vlamingen in 't bysonder met den Woorde Gods opengelegd is (Groningen, 1744, the 2nd ed.
