The Rosenort Fellowship Chapel began services and formally organized in 1968. The first building was occupied in 1968, with a subsequent building program in 1976. Melvin Dueck is considered the founding leader of the group. The congregation originated through urbanization; it was founded by the Rosenort Evangelical Mennonite Church.
It was established as a outgrowth of the Rosenort Evanglical Mennonite Church because of a desire to have a church in town.
In 1975 there were 97 members; in 1985, 175; in 1995, 195; in 2000, 175. The congregation has been affiliated with the Evangelical Mennonite Conference since 1969. The language of worship is English; the transition from German occurred in the 1960s.
Pastoral leaders have included: Melvin Dueck (1968-1975), Fred Friesen (1975-1980), Stan Plett (1980-1990), Michael Derksen (1991-1994), Pastor John Klassen (1994-2000), Milton Fast (Interim, 2001), John Driedger (2001- )
