Molotschnaer Mennoniten-Kirchenkonvent (a conference of ministers and elders) was organized by the ministers and elders of the churches of the [[Molotschna Mennonite Settlement (Zaporizhia Oblast, Ukraine)|Molotschna Mennonite settlement]] around 1850, although (according to Isaac) it was probably loosely functioning under different names before this date. Many of the documents published by Isaac even before 1850 bear such titles as "Vorstand" or "geistlicher Lehrdienst." Sometimes the term "Kirchenkonvent" is used to refer to the ministers of a single congregation. Gradually the name "Molotschnaer Mennoniten-Kirchenkonvent" came into use to include the elders and ministers of all congregations of the Molotschna settlement. The Kirchenkonvent met regularly to discuss significant questions pertaining to the spiritual life and well-being of the individual churches and the total brotherhood. Resolutions passed at the meeting were presented to the individual congregations for approval.

Molotschnaer Mennoniten-Kirchenkonvent (a conference of ministers and elders) was organized by the ministers and elders of the churches of the Molotschna Mennonite settlement around 1850, although (according to Isaac) it was probably loosely functioning under different names before this date.

At the time of the revival caused by evangelists like Eduard Wüst, with the result that several new Mennonite branches were founded, the Kirchenkonvent dealt with the problems arising from this movement. When the General Conference (Allgemeine Bundeskonferenz) was founded in 1910, this body took care of most of the problems, particularly the executive committee of this Conference, known as the Kommission für Kirchenangelegenheiten or KfK.
