Wouter Thonisz (Thomasz), of Woerden, an [[Anabaptism|Anabaptist]] martyr, was sentenced to death by beheading by the Court of Holland on 16 May 1534. He probably died at The Hague. Wouter Thonisz (Thomasz), of Woerden, an Anabaptist martyr, was sentenced to death by beheading by the Court of Holland on 16 May 1534. He probably died at The Hague. Wouter was one of the Anabaptists who had sailed from Amsterdam on 24 March 1534, en route to Münster, and were arrested at Bergklooster.
