Willem Wilde, a Dutch [[Roman Catholic Church|Roman Catholic]], published two papers, "De Geloofsvervolging der 16de eeuw" and "Merkwaardige cijfers betreffende de geloofsvervol­ ging," in <em>Studiën,</em> 1877 and 1894. In these papers he accused [[Braght, Tieleman Jansz van (1625-1664)|T. J. van Braght]] of partiality and inexactness in his [[Martyrs' Mirror|&lt;em&gt;Martyrs' Mirror&lt;/em&gt;]].
