Cornelis Lely, born 1686 at Hoorn, died 1758 at Amsterdam, married to Maria Salm of Amsterdam, was a son of Pieter Tymonsz Lely of Hoorn. He was a surgeon in Amsterdam and in 1718-1752 a preacher and elder of the Old Frisian congregation (Arke Noachs) at Amsterdam.
