David Krehbiel, a teacher in the Realschule at [[Weierhof (Rheinland-Pfalz, Germany)|Weierhof]], [[Palatinate (Rheinland-Pfalz, Germany)|Palatinate]], [[Germany|Germany]], was born 17 May 1849, at Ramsen, and he died 7 July 1908. He attended the Gymnasium at Basel and the normal school at Schiers in Switzerland, and then the universities at Neuchâtel and [[Basel (Switzerland)|Basel]]. He accepted a position at the Realschule at Weierhof in 1873, which he resigned in 1900 because of ill health.
