Jan-Evertsvolk were followers of Jan Evertsz, preacher of the [[Flemish Mennonites|Flemish]] congregation at Haarlem, Dutch province of [[North Holland (Netherlands)|North Holland]], number­ing 728 baptized members, who in 1681 formed a separate congregation, at first holding services at the Bakenessergracht, and after 1684 in a new meet­inghouse at the Kruisstraat. In 1747 the Jan-Everts group, who had especially in the first decades been very conservative, dissolved, its members joining the main Flemish congregation.
