Jan-Evertsvolk were followers of Jan Evertsz, preacher of the [[Flemish Mennonites|Flemish]] congregation at Haarlem, Dutch province of [[North Holland (Netherlands)|North Holland]], numbering 728 baptized members, who in 1681 formed a separate congregation, at first holding services at the Bakenessergracht, and after 1684 in a new meetinghouse at the Kruisstraat. Jan-Evertsvolk were followers of Jan Evertsz, preacher of the Flemish congregation at Haarlem, Dutch province of North Holland, numbering 728 baptized members, who in 1681 formed a separate congregation, at first holding services at the Bakenessergracht, and after 1684 in a new meetinghouse at the Kruisstraat.
