Peabody, KS, originally known as Conesburg, is a town (pop. 1,400 in 1959; 1,384 in 2000) located in the south central part of [[Marion County (Kansas, USA)|Marion County]]. It was incorporated 15 March 1878. Approximately 500 Mennonites live within shopping distance.
