Michiel Beernaerts, an Anabaptist martyr, burned at the stake on 18 June 1559 at Antwerp, Belgium, identical with the martyr called Jelis Bernaerts in van Braght's<em> Martyrs Mirror </em>and Gielis Bernaerts in Dit Boec wort genoemt: Het Offer des Herren, om het inhout van sommighe opgheofferde kinderen Godts.
