Heritage Mountain Community Church in Port Moody was started with [[British Columbia Conference of Mennonite Brethren Churches|British Columbia Conference of Mennonite Brethren Churches]] Board of Church Extension assistance as a daughter church of [[Eagle Ridge Bible Fellowship (Coquitlam, British Columbia, Canada)|Eagle Ridge Bible Fellowship]] in Coquitlam. Eagle Ridge contributed 35 people to the church plant. The first service was held on 12 November 2000. At the time of its acceptance into the BC Conference of MB Churches in 2001 the congregation had an attendance of over 100. Mark Tucker was the first pastor of the congregation. In 2008 Santosh Ninan became pastor of the church. At that time the congregation had 105 members.
