Silver Valley Community Church held their first service in September 2003 and was accepted into the British Columbia (BC) Conference of Mennonite Brethren (MB) Churches in 2004. It began as a satellite church of Maple Ridge Community Church and was planted in a new residential area on the North Shore. During the first few weeks services were held in the Maple Ridge Park before moving to the Yannadon Elementary School in Maple Ridge.
