The Village International Mennonite Church began services 21 March 2010 in Vanier, a suburb of Ottawa, Ontario. It was described as a “new, multi-cultural, multi-lingual group of Jesus-followers seeking to join what God is doing in the healing and transformation of the Vanier neighbourhood of Ottawa.” The founding pastoral leader was Stefan Cherry.
It initially met Sunday afternoons at the St. Margaret’s Anglican Church in Vanier. Early projects included sponsoring a community garden and neighborhood parties.
In 2017 the church met Sunday mornings in rented space in Accueil Hall in the Centre Richelieu Vanier, but finally closed that year.
