Ripple, in Allentown, Pennsylvania, USA, is a diverse urban Anabaptist congregation that began in 2006 in the renovated farmhouse home of Tom and Carolyn Albright in Whitehall, Pennsylvania, a suburb of Allentown. In 2009 they sold their home and moved into the heart of Allentown.
After several moves the congregation has met Sunday afternoons at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in the downtown area.
By 2016 the church had met in three smaller groups, with pastors sharing leadership in a rotation pattern – an idea that developed because of lack of space, but eventually became the congregation’s much-beloved format. The Church of the Tables, the Church of the Circles, and the Church of the Sidewalk each had their own unique feel. Worship services began with a short message, and then moved into discussion.
Ripple has been described as a restorative church. Tom Albright said: “In a restorative church...we measure by relationships and ripples. How are relationships forming and how is that spreading out into the community? It’s a whole different way of living, working and worshiping in the city.”
In 2016 the congregation's five pastors were all bi-vocational.
