The Indonesian Light Church in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, USA was founded on 22 January 2012 in the home of one of its elders. On that day, the first service took place with nine other congregations and was led by Pastor Pison Sinambela. When the congregation began, it was known as Indonesian Lutheran Fellowship.

In July 2013, the congregation moved to its present location at 1612 South Broad Street in Philadelphia, which it also uses for weekly Bible study, led by the elders or one of the rotating preaching team.

In March 2014, the congregation changed its name to Indonesian Light Church and began the process to join the Mennonite family, and was accepted as an exploring congregation in the Franconia Mennonite Conference in Fall 2014.
