The Clarissa Old Order Amish settlement in Todd County, Minnesota, USA, began in September 2001 when the Daniel R. Miller family moved to the area from Wisconsin. In October 2001 the Raymond W. Miller family arrived; since Raymond was an ordained bishop it was possible to hold church services right away.
One of the attractions of the Clarissa area were the small dairy farms. Most of the Amish families remained dairy farmers in the 2010s, both with cows and goats. There were also sawmills, harness shops and furniture shops.
In 2013 there were 45 families in three districts (congregations) in the Clarissa settlement, along with five elementary schools.
